Broken

If you want to break a person, break their center.

Break the pieces that make them whole.

The pieces are usually quite weak, the heart, the mind, the soul.

If you can just break those pieces,

The person will fall apart at the seams

Like a puppet without stitches

When you attack the heart, you attack one’s life blood,

You attack the air they breathe,

You attack the body,

Or perhaps you’re looking for the figurative heart.

That can be even easier to break,

But know this:

You can’t break a heart that never cared for you in the first place.

If you never see the sky, then it’s impossible to miss it.

If you never loved someone in the first place, then you shouldn’t feel any pain when they leave.

You can’t forget the color of eyes you’ve never seen.

If you want to break the mind,

Then you have to get that person to trust you,

Make them respect you, or make them love you.

It doesn’t matter.

Once they trust you enough, they’ll believe you.

They’ll follow you to hell and back

The weak ones,

Especially if their heart is already broken,

Especially if they love you.

If you can break their mind,

They won’t know what to believe.

If you want to break their soul,

Take away their hope.

Make their future impossible.

Kill their God. Kill their gods if you have to.

Create nightmares where there should be dreams.

If you can do that,

Then they will lose their fighting spirit and maybe even

The will to live.

But beware

These things aren’t as simple as they seem.

In breaking their heart,

You might just end up loving them.

In breaking their mind,

You might just end up believing your own words.

In breaking their soul,

You might just end up creating an unstoppable monster,

Compassion-less

Empty,

Cold,

Broken.

But let me ask you something

Before you go,

Do you really want to, you know, break someone.

Is it really worth watching that person die inside?

They must have caused you quite some pain,

But I guarantee if you take this road in life,

You’ll probably end up breaking yourself too.

So, is it worth it? Because if so, You're no longer Human, You're broken.
